Great quality and easy install... customer service is exceptional.I had some issues with some sizing, and it was very easy for me to exchange.
Have not yet installed this particular tube, but I did just install an 18-30/85mm
version in my front TT wheel that I purchased many months ago. It was so insanely tight that I barely got it on/in. I almost gave up. I then moved on to a 18-30/48mm in my rear TT disc. While it too was tighter than other brands I have run (ie Tubolito and Wheel Science), I had less difficulty than the former. Thankfully both tubes survived the added abuse required to install them.
great value with amazing performance. lightweight, durable easy to patch.
I recently purchased a new Tarmac sl8 aero road bike and was using a tubeless wheelset I already owned with tubeless tires and sealant.
I always knew that the wheel set up I had wasn’t the fastest or lightest so I decided to do my homework on tube vs tubeless and ultimately ended up with a more comfortable, lighter, cleaner, and much faster set of wheels. Here’s how it played out:
Previous set up:
Easton EC70 ax carbon wheelset was 1515 grams. Rim depth 21mm
2oz of sealant per tire was 116 grams total for 2 tires (mess was free).
Schwalbe one tubeless 30mm width was 620 grams total for 2 tires.
Grand total = 2251 grams/4.96 lbs
New set up:
Elite Drive 2 carbon wheelset is 1300 grams. Rim depth 50mm
Bike Tube Brand TPU tubes is 70 grams total for 2 tubes
Vittoria Corsa next tube type tires 450 grams total for 2 tires
Grand total = 1820 grams/4.01 lbs
By moving to a TPU tube set up I saved a whopping .95 lbs of rotational weight. On a road bike that is huge. No more tubeless sealant clean up when changing tires, no more additional weight every time I have to top up sealant, much more comfortable ride feel, and a much much faster bike.
An extra TPU tube in my seat pack, only 35 grams. Make the switch, you won’t be disappointed. The tubes are very high quality. I like that the valve shaft is metal vs plastic that some other brands use. I carry an electric mini pump that can cause issues if using with plastic valves due to the heat, I don't have worry about that with these tubes.
