TPU material is .22mm thick for the goldilocks balance of durability, air retention and lightweight. The perfect tube to pack along as a spare for extra security if you are running tubeless.
I have been a fan of TPUs since they first emerged a few years ago, running tubes from Tubolito, Wheel Science, and now BikeTubeBrand. All have performed well; however, I just got around to mounting new tubes and tires on my TT bike using some 85mm-stem road tubes from BikeTube that I bought many months ago, and I must say they were VERY tight. So much so that I almost gave up trying to mount them. After repeated attempts (and I consider myself a pretty fair bike mechanic with 30+ years experience) I was finally successful without destroying the tube in the process. The more recently purchased 48mm road tube that I mounted on the rear disc was also tighter than other brands, but not so much that I risked damaging it during the installation process. I wrote the company a note informing them of my experience, but disappointingly never got a response. I have a whole stock of new road, mtb and gravel tubes. Hopefully, those will go on easier.
A removable valve core would be a nice to have. This would enable the use of Schwable Clik valve.
