BIKETUBE founder, Stephen Cuomo, led product development, design, and engineering teams at Cannondale and GT throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s. He oversaw the introduction of ground-breaking products like the Super V, CAAD series road frames, i-Drive suspensions and HeadShok forks. During this period he also raced both mountain and road bikes extensively as an amateur.
Steve provided support and worked personally with legendary racing teams and athletes, including Connie Carpenter, Davis Phinney, Alexi Grewal, Geoff Kabush, Team Saeco (Mario Cipollini), Volvo-Cannondale (Tinker Juarez, Alison Sydor, Myles Rockwell, Missy Giove), Team Lotto (Andre Tchmil, Jacky Durand), GT (Steve Peat, Hans Rey, Eric Carter, Juliana Furtado, Mike King). He consulted for component and bicycle makers globally for an additional 15 years, notably with fi’zi:k, Continental Tire, crankbrothers, Brooks England, and SDG. Stephen has made more than one hundred trips to Asia to collaborate with bicycle and component makers and continues to do so. He launched BIKETUBE in December of 2016 to bring the best value in innovative inner tubes and tire inflation related products to fellow cyclists.
